ABOUT PAQUI'S LAND

Paqui, the Spanish nickname for 'Francesca', has become a cherished part of my identity, reflecting my personal connection and almost a decade of living in Spain.

Who is Paqui’s Land?

My real name is Francesca Mandolini. I hail from a small town in central Italy, where I’ve returned after years of exploring the world. My personal journey has always been driven by a sense of duality and the desire to see beyond the obvious. This quest has taken me to live in Santiago de Compostela, London, São Paulo, Sevilla and ultimately Madrid – a city I consider my second home.

In Madrid, my career in marketing and communication within the audiovisual sector allowed me to blend my passions for storytelling and visual art. Along the way, I discovered a love for dubbing, voice-over, writing, and art. All as means of exploring the world and myself.

In late 2023, a serendipitous encounter with analog collage during a workshop in Madrid became an epiphany. I realized this art form was a perfect expression of my inner soul. It was like discovering something that had always been there although I couldn’t see it. Paper, scissors, and glue became my tools to create surreal microcosms that reflect everyday life, emotions and experiences. These collages are my way of weaving magic into the mundane, crafting worlds that are often cathartic and always imaginative.

Welcome to Paqui’s Land: a space where creativity knows no bounds, and imagination transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, aiming to connect with the viewer.
